HERE’S WHAT I DID 👇 (And still practise every day.) Here are seven things that helped me rebuild mine: 1. I started keeping small promises to myself. If I tell myself I’m going to exercise, rest or finish something important, I try to follow through. Every promise I keep becomes evidence that I can rely on myself. 2. I journal more than once a day. The first time is usually to clear out the noise—the frustration, fear and thoughts I’ve been carrying. The second is to reconnect with what I want and the life I’m creating. Journaling helps me hear my own voice before everyone else’s opinions become louder. 3. I visualise the version of me who trusts herself. Every morning, I close my eyes and imagine how she walks into a room, makes decisions, speaks and handles uncertainty. I’m teaching my mind that this version of me already exists. 4. I started saying no more often. Every time I said yes when I meant no, I taught myself that other people’s comfort mattered more than my truth. Now, I protect my time and energy without treating my needs like an inconvenience. 5. I make more decisions without asking everyone what they think. Advice can be helpful, but constantly needing reassurance made me question answers I already knew. Sometimes self-confidence looks like choosing—and trusting myself to handle what follows. 6. I stopped complaining about everything I couldn’t control. That doesn’t mean pretending everything is fine. I still express what hurts and ask for support. But I try not to give the same problem all of my energy. I ask myself, “What can I do from here?” 6. I take myself on solo dates. Spending time alone has helped me understand who I am without needing to perform for anyone. What do I enjoy? What do I need? How do I actually feel? You can’t trust someone you never take the time to know—including yourself. 7. changed the way I speak to myself. I became more aware of words like “can’t,” “should” and “failure.” Now I remind myself: I can learn. Which one are you working on right now?
